Record cleaning machines are by far the most efficient way of removing all the grease, grime and dirt from deep within the grooves of records without leaving any residues. Other cleaning methods tend to push the dirt elsewhere within the grooves and can cause permanent damage.
Here at Factory of Sound we use the Moth RCM MKII. This machine wet cleans the records and then removes all the dirt and other residues by means of vacuum. As a result all records sound cleaner with less background hiss, crackles and pops.
As standard, Factory of Sound use this cleaning method prior to all disc transfers, but we are also providing this as a standalone service for customers who just want to get the best listening pleasure from their vinyl and shellac collections.
